1969 L46 Project starts 06/20/2009 VIN 194379S736819
I traded straight across for my 1969 GTO of 29 years. There is zero history with this Corvette; and suggested by the seller it was a non match L46. After getting it home I was suspicious if it really was an L46 because it had a 5300 redline tachometer but that thought soon left after discovering it had a VIN correct M21; and the only 350 to come with the M21 was the L46. Immediately pulled the motor to correct all parts to the L46; the motor is a 3970010 cast in 1973 F73 with no codes on the stamp pad. The rear end is probably the original CAO 3.70 11/24/69 W; the trim pad has a P28 indicating general build time of 11/28/1969. It has date correct 202 heads 3927186. The main missing L46 items beyond the block are as follows; intake, carburetor, distributor, and tachometer.
